Camp Erin is the largest bereavement camp in the country - designed for youth ages 6-17 who are grieving the loss of someone close to them. It is a weekend-long experience filled with traditional, fun, camp activities combined with grief education and emotional support — facilitated by grief professionals and trained volunteers from local hospice and grief counseling agencies. Camp Erin is the largest network of bereavement camps in the United States with 36 camps in 23 states. More than 2,500 greiving children and teens will receive the healing experience of Camp Erin this year!

November Updates

  • I am extremely pleased to announce that this year’s Evening for Erin in Seattle was a total success, raising over $300,000! In this economy it’s very difficult to predict the affect it will have on special events – on philanthropy in general. But, as one of the patrons told Gary Pollock, “when people really understand the mission, have the confidence they do in The Moyer Foundation and can feel the passion for a program like Camp Erin, they find a way to step up”. It just reinforced to us just how passionate people feel locally and nationally about these camps.
  • We’ve continued to receive coverage of Camp Erin across the country. Camp Erin – Albany did a fantastic job of running with the initial story and getting a second one written in their largest newspaper. They promoted their partnership with The Moyer Foundation as well as many of their local community advocates and supporters. Well done!

  • Congratulations Camp Erin – San Diego on the final results of your successful golf tournament! We were thrilled to work with your team and your board in raising awareness and funds for your camp. What a great model to establish for other camps across the country.

New Camp Erin PSA!

Thanks to our fantastic Board member Brad Brotherton, The Moyer Foundation was thrilled to partner with award winning Women in Film to produce the new Camp Erin PSA:
